The Rangitikei is new and unique as a visitor destination, an accessible rural area in the heart of the north island. The people
The backbone of the community are farmers producing fine meat, woollen, cereal and cropping products. A growing part of the population, are artists, crafts people, and guides who introduce visitors to the natural wonders of the area.
